‘When I was 17, I took over the reigns of my mother’s restaurant in the heart of Brussels while she was on vacation. By the time she came back, I knew that this was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life’
Yves Jadot left his native Brussels in 1986 at the age of 18 and began his career in the United States at La Crémaillère, a French bistro in upstate New York. The small town quickly become too small and he moved to Manhattan. After managing several NYC hot spots, he decided it was time to open his own place. "I put everything I had into the first Petite Abeille: I sold my car and my watch. On opening day, I had $300 in my register, it was all the money I had left." Jadot's first endeavor paid off and has expanded ever since. Today the Yves Jadot Restaurant Group counts over 350 employees and 11 successful establishments. Jadot’s latest venture is a cocktail parlor, The Bennett, located in TriBeCa. Next on the list is YJRG's fist rooftop property, set to open in 2017 in Midtown Manhattan.
With his strong work ethic and passion to provide exceptional experiences Jadot will never cease to impress the hospitality industry.
